For some reason WordPress removes the Update Service ability (under Settings – Writing) when you create a network (aka enables WordPress MU aka WordPress 3 Multisite). Activate this plugin to get it back.

hi, my website is not able to be indexed as quickly as it used to be. i’m wondering if the “update service” is just a textbox only? will the real ping be initiated with this plugin?

Hello. Hmm. No, I don’t think so anyway. If nothing has changed in newer versions of WP. I would have to test it a bit when I get back from vaccation. Will try to remember. Remind me if not. :)
